Beachside News Bite!!!

Peter & Rachel and Margery – 1^st March – 7^th April (From Vanuatu)

I was approached by our National Missions Director last year at National Conference if we would consider supporting this couple. One of the churches that were supporting them are no longer able to meet their commitment. The amount requested was $150 per month. (That’s just $37.50 per week!) This amount is just enough to ‘keep their heads above water’ while they endeavour to do the work of the Ministry. We believe that relationship is the key to any healthy partnership and we can only form genuine relationship by making the effort getting to know one another. This is the primary reason we are bringing the family out from Vanuatu to work with us for 5 weeks. Together we plan to plant a Church on the Island of Espirito Santo and Train Bible School students at our Bible School in Santo. Their support will come through our Missions Giving. This is separate to our General Working Account. Please make every effort to connect with them in some way while they are here. They will both be available for all forms of Ministry. A copy of their program will be on the info table.

This Sunday – “Surviving Your Schedule”

Life can run at a frantic pass. There is a lot of talk about ‘balance’ in life. But when I look at the life of Jesus, I’m not sure I see a life with each day in perfect balance. But what I do see is rhythms of grace, periods of work, rest and recuperation. In the Old Testament God gives his people very clear guidelines and principles for living which are still applicable for us in the context of our lives in 2010. We will explore these scriptures and look at how they might apply in our lives with the result of better health, better relationship with God and one another. (Next Sunday: Peter & Rachel).
